About the Friends of Mead Botanical Garden
For decades, your friends and neighbors have given life to Mead Botanical Garden through advocacy, contributions, planting, weeding, fundraising, volunteer action, and leadership. The Friends of Mead Garden, now Mead Botanical Garden, Inc., engage people in enjoying and learning about this wonder of nature nestled in the city of Winter Park. Everyone who contributes to the garden is considered a 'Friend' of MBG.
Our purpose is to restore, develop and sustain the Garden as an urban oasis; a refuge for wildlife, a botanical garden emphasizing nature, sustainability and environmental learning, and a place for contemplation, celebration, and recreation.
In partnership with the City of Winter Park, Mead Botanical Garden, Inc., will assess the needs of the community, develop plans with community engagement and raise funds to achieve the vision.
